For me, this list is really a want list. These are things I will not buy myself, but would like to have them in my possesion. That is different than some people I know who will buy for themselves everything they don't get as a gift!
- iPad - $500 - This has become my new big ticket item, replacing my home smart meter TED (which I never got)! I think the future of computing is being issued in with this device. Trust me, if you get it for me, I will let you touch it, and you will see me with it nearly everywhere.
- hunting knife (just in case I go hunting one of these years)
- Books:
- Space Race Novels : Any book on this Amazon list. Of course, I prefer hardcover if available, but I will take any of these in any shape. And there is a whole range of price options to choose from!
- Geek Dad: Awesomely Geeky Projects and Activities for Dads and Kids to Share
- Fifty Dangerous Things (You Should Let Your Children Do)
- Games (Most of these are not found in your big box store. Gently used is always OK. Look to Ebay, other online stores, or a games shop.)
- Carcassonne
- Power Grid
- Pandemic
- Ticket to Ride
- Ra
- Dominion
- Any LEGO game
- Set of drill bits (DeWalt has this great set on Amazon).
- Cargo bungee net for the trailer (trailer size is 8 x 6). Amazon has this product, which is great, but I don't need this specific one.
