I work my equipment hard. Too hard I guess.
Wednesday passed the half way point of winter, and as of last night, I have broken two shovels while moving snow around this winter. Both of the broken shovels had plastic scoops, and the scoop broke off, partially still attached to the handle. bummer.
That leaves me with 3 shovels left for whatever else winter throws at us. Hopefully I can make them last, and then re-invest in shovels next winter. Maybe you can help. What shovel type do you recommend?
Sounds like you need a grain shovel. I’ve had good luck with my power blade (http://www.amazon.com/Suncast-SCP3500-Powerblade-Resistant-Polycarbonate/dp/B0011MPO5M). It’s very light and has been durable enough for me, but the plastic edge has worn off after 7-8 years of use…
I don’t know about that one. Your experience sounds good, but the first two reviews talk about it cracking (both from February 2010, so maybe a little dated).
Maybe I just need to move where there is no snow.
