In August of 2008, Melody and I invested in a color laser printer. One of the many requirements is that it would be able to work with an Apple computer, just in case.
In February of 2010, Melody and I invested in an external hard drive. One of the many requirements is that it would be able to work with an Apple computer, just in case.
In December of 2011, Melody and I invested in an Apple computer. Now it was time to see if the three previous years of purchases works out.
Happily, I can say they did. I transferred 108 GB (over 55,000 files) from the external hard drive to the new iMac 2 days ago. Last night, the printer installed wirelessly over our home network, and the first document was printed.
It is nice when technology works the way it is supposed to. Maybe tonight I will start cleaning the desk to get the old computer moved out and get the iMac set up and ready. Maybe.
