Ride completed

Thank you to everyone who supported me this year during my Bike MS ride.

The ride was great! Really. Saturday saw some showers during the morning, and we were going into the wind for the rest of the day. But Sunday was one of those days that makes you forget years of painful riding. It was just perfect. I think you can even see that in some of my after-pictures. I just look happy.

Of course, it doesn’t hurt that this was my last planned year for riding. I raised nearly $2,700 to help the people affected by MS, and that is beyond my goal. I also think that put me in the top 100 for fundraisers for 2009, although those numbers are still being tabulated. I am so amazed by all the support I got from my co-workers and friends, and especially from my long distance relatives who really kicked in this year.

Since I am done riding, I hope to put a little more focus on once again sharing pictures on this web site. Have you noticed there have been none this entire year? I bet you didn’t even know that I got a new camera before Christmas 2008 and have snapped thousands of pictures in the time since.

Also, I need to catch up on a few posts. Some of them to look forward to are “I am going to the ER with a cracked head” and “Another surprise” and “You won’t believe what he did today.”
