Couldn’t Sleep

So, I had a hard time sleeping last night. It could be any reason, or no reason, who knows. But, to try and fix the problem, I got out of bed and went to read for a while.

I am in the early stages of reading a gift I got for Christmas. It is the book “I am Legend” written in 1954 by Richard Matheson. It came out as a movie in December 2007 starring Will Smith. I haven’t seen the movie, or the previous movies, all based on the same book (The Last Man on Earth (1964) starring Vincent Price and The Omega Man (1971) starring Charlton Heston), so I don’t know what plot differences there might be between all versions. The book details one person’s struggle to save himself from the former humans who have now been mutated to vampires. The main character believes he is the last human left, and he just might be.

I usually don’t get spooked by movies or books, and typically they don’t keep me up at night. But after reading a few chapters of consistent vampire attacks and trying to survive the night, I didn’t find myself tired. I went back to bed, and just laid there, staring at the ceiling.

That didn’t help at all. Maybe next time I can’t sleep, I will play Nintendo.

  1. Hi my is Brandi . I’m from oklahoma and my dad’s name is John Tadych and his dad’s name Todd Tadych, but that is not his real name. I was just playing around on the computer and was wondering if you know if there is a connection.

    Thanks,
    Brandi

  2. Hi Brandi —

Besides my immediate family from Manitowoc, WI, I don’t know any other Tadych’s. My dad’s name is Charles, my grandpa’s name is Casimir. I can’t remember any other family names, and I haven’t taken time to do genealogy research to really discover more (although I would love too). Numerous web searches have found no history.

All that being said, I am glad you found my little cybersite and I hope you visit again.
