Bike for Boys & Girls Club of Dane County

This weekend I am doing my first official ride of the year. I am taking part in the benefit ride for the Boys & Girls Club of Dane County.

I will be riding 50 miles, starting at the Edgewood campus, through Verona to a first rest stop at a park in Paoli. Then we will be making a leisurely ride over to Oregon, where a rest stop will be at Rome Corners. Back on our bikes, we will finish back at the Edgewood campus.

If you are interested, you can see a more specific map here. The map looks like it might be from the 2006 ride, but odds are it will be pretty much the same route for the 2007 ride.

This weekend’s ride is not much more than a training ride for the MS ride in a few weeks. During the MS ride, It looks like we will be going through Stoughton and Oregon on Sunday, August 5th. I will post more details about that course in the coming weeks.

  1. You never stopped at Romes Corners when we lived ACROSS the street! good luck have fun!

  2. Hey Mel, I can’t wait to see you at the finish line!

Heather — For the MS ride in just over two weeks, we are actually biking right past your old house, almost along the entire length of S Perry Pkwy! If I had known the routes a couple of months ago, I would have told you to hold off on your closing date!
