Melody and I celebrated our ten year anniversary by going to one of the newest premier restaurants in the Madison area (I know, so unlike us). We chose The Melting Pot: a fondue restaurant. It is a growing chain (three stores in Wisconsin now: Madison, Appleton and Milwaukee), and if you couldn’t guess by the name, it is all about fondue. We did the Big Night Out, which included a cheese fondue appetizer, a yummy salad, the fondue entrée (lobster, filet mignon, sirloin, shrimp, chicken, ravioli, and veggies), all followed up by a chocolate fondue dessert. I highly recommend it to all, just be warned that the Big Night Out is a lot of food, and requires a significant amount of time. We were there almost three hours, and I hear that is around the average. Two tips if you go: 1) Don’t get the Big Night Out on an early relationship date. 2) Save room for dessert, or go only for dessert.
Kase and Gus are busy taking pictures! With money that they saved from Christmas, they finally got their Fisher Price Kid-Tough Digital Camera. This is a great product, and if you have a toddler, this is the camera to get. It has five easy to use, well laid out buttons, a view screen that can be used to review or take pictures, a “double” viewfinder, and it is highly durable. It has a built in sensor so it knows when to use the flash, and it makes some great fun sounds that the boys just love. For us parents, it easily hooks up to a computer to download the 640×480 pictures. With that VGA resolution, you can print “decent” 4×6 pictures, although you won’t be entering them in any photo contest. The simplest way to sum up this camera: It is Fisher Price, and it does what it should, perfectly.
Finally, we are still gearing up for our project. At home I have a trailer full of pallets that I will be using to store our house goods (don’t want to just throw that stuff on a cement floor). Also, I am up to two wheelbarrows and I should have three by the time the project gets here in two weeks. I have a list of stuff to get at Menards. I have had a good amount of replies from my request for help. Things are looking good. I just need the weather to cooperate for that weekend, and things will be great. Soon I will be adding some kind of project status to the website, and pictures of the mess will be coming once we get started.
Three big items, one post. I hope that is OK with you.
CONGRATULATIONS ON 10 YEARS TOGETHER. IT SOUNDS LIKE YOU 2 HAD A GREAT NIGHT OUT. HAPPY VALENTINES TO TROY, MELODY, KASE & GUS 1 DAY LATE. LOOKING FORWARD TO THE PICTURES THOSE 2 LITTLE GUYS ARE TAKING.

Thanx mom! I am curious to see if any of the pictures the boys are taking will really be “web quality” or if I will have just a lot of random stuff.
Congrats on 10 years together. That’s wonderful. Looking forward to seeing some of the new photos from Kase & Gus! Make sure they bring the cameras along to NC for the trip!
Love ya,
Mom & Stan
Hi Amy —
Kase and Gus can’t wait to take some pictures of the airplanes, your house, and the beach. We are making a countdown calendar tonight!
